In other news, Lirio's Mom passed away a few days ago. Tin and I visited her mother's remain. And it was obvious that she was crushed. Dude, we are here by your side. What are crewmates for? The three of us were supposed to attend "Simbang Gabi" or "Dawn Masses" or "Misa de Gallo" this year. But we have to bail our plans due to what happened. Now the three of us have plans for tonight. We are going to attend the Christmas Mass together. That might put everyone in a festive mood.
Enough about that...
Let's move on to some Filipino Christmas tradition that needs a serious make-over. Christmas Caroling.
I know, most countries have similar traditions. But here it's different. It's like so cliché that it's starting to irritate me (I know I'm being my hipster self once again). But the children needs to learn a new Christmas Carol. The purpose of caroling is to sing songs of praise that the Lord Jesus is coming. It can also emphasize on the spirit of giving. But the kids nowadays just want to get money out of you. They all sing one song, and one song alone. They should really learn some of the classics or something new. But no... It's the same song for every Christmas carolers. I'm starting to get irritated with that song.
So moving on. I finally finished my holiday shopping list today. The malls are so darn crowded. It's like diving in to a sea of people. I think the population of holiday shopping procrastinators are increasing every year (I'm one of them. I always leave of a couple of final gifts for the last minute or so.).
So that's it for now. I'll be updating this soon.
Happy Holidays to All!!!
And
PEACE-OUT
